Tim Castree, Global CEO of MEC and GroupM’s ‘NewCo’ today announced that Neslihan Olcay, Maxus Turkey CEO and GroupM Chief Digital Development Officer, will take on the role of CEO of the new combined MEC and Maxus 'NewCo' agency in Turkey when it launches in January 2018.
Neslihan Olcay will lead a new management team which will include Serdar Aytok, who is currently Managing Director of MEC Turkey. Serdar Aytok will be the COO of 'NewCo'. Both roles become effective in January 2018.
Neslihan Olcay has been Maxus Turkey CEO since 2011 and was also named as the Chief Digital Development Officer of GroupM Turkey in 2016. Prior to Maxus, she worked at Mindshare for 7 years and has 23 years of experience in media and advertising. Serdar Aytok joined MEC Turkey in 2001 and for the last two years he has been co-managing the agency together with Hande Bursalıoğlu Beceren, who will soon become the new CEO of Kantar Insights in Turkey.
